H10 Playa Esmeralda, Fuerteventura

We went for a week to relax and we certainly were able to. The Hotel is nearly as perfect as it can be. We had read some mixed reviews but the real deal was nothing like others had said. The Hotel is in a perfect position , right next to the beach. A short five minute walk and you are on the beach. It's a lovely beach and yes like on most of the island there are some nudists but you don't have to join in. The Hotel itself is very clean , there are staff more or less cleanng all the time. All the staff are very nice , very helpful all the time. The cloice of food in the restaurant is also very good, we stayed half board and never had any issues with choices or lack of hot food of any type being readily available. There is evening entertainment if you want it, you can have peace and quiet if you want that. We hired a car so we were mobile in that sense, the Costa Calma busier area is about 15 minutes walk away. Overall we had a great time in a lovely hotel with very nice staff looking after us so many thanks for that.

When we arrived at the hotel, we received a warm and informative reception, any queries or potential problems were dealt with efficiently. We had booked half board, however there are no shops other than the hotel ones closer than 15 minute walk. We asked if we could upgrade to all inclusive which was not a problem. It cost 35 per person, per night which we actually soon got our moneys worth for as well as the convenience of not having to go to the shop or outside restaurants. Water available 24/7. The hotel is in a quiet area of the island which is exactly what we were after to unwind and relax. We booked a sea view room and were on the 5th floor. It was clean, spacious, ok beds, good shower, the air con however, did not really help cool the room down and some days it was cooler to have the doors open. Reception informed, they could not get it any cooler or provide a fan. The temperature of the room is our only real negative about our stay. Pool area and sunbathing areas were kept mostly clean, the main pool is cool which is refreshing to be in, and a small paddling pool to cool your feet off in There is an indoor pool that is slightly warmer with spa jets that are free to use. Animation and fitness guys always interactive and funny, good game of water polo and water activities. Pool bar had a nice selection of food for lunch and good selection of drinks. Mikes coffee bar was good for coffee and cake, some of the nicer cakes you have to pay extra for unless privilege guests but this was not a problem. Restaurants always had something we wanted to eat without the feeling of needing to go elsewhere, we ate once in the Italian restaurant, which was lovely. All the staff were amazing and friendly, interacting in so many languages for all the guests, also nice that we were able to improve on our own Spanish vocabulary. All guests were treated fairly and equally regardless of nationality or board level you were staying as. Overall a lovely hotel with great staff!

Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting, close to beach which is a 100m walk to a nice sandy beach... Staff are very attentive and our room was excellent. Paid for an upgrade for room which is well worth it. Lovely large balcony overlooking pool and sea. Food generally good sometimes not quite hot enough and every morning the bacon was undercooked sadly. But a good offering on the whole.

A fantastic 11 day holiday for myself and wife, went all Inc/ privilege, lovely room with good view. My 2 points which l think need looking at are. After a 16 hour journey to esmeralda, we found the night staff at reception weren't very helpful at explaining where are room was and no night porter to help. 1 of the bar staff at main bar was a bit disrespectful to me.the 2 ladies incharge of the privilege were very helpful to me on a couple of occasions, so many thanks to them both ??. We would not hesitate to book again, and recommend to friends and family. Thank you esmeralda.

This was a brilliant hotel, the facilities were great and the staff were excellent. The only down side was the meals were very basic and felt bitty. The breakfast was good, but dinner and the snack bar food was not brilliant. Overall, the pool, room and staff were great. I would recommend.
