H10 Playa Esmeralda, Fuerteventura

Our third stay now and we weren't disappointed . From arrival you get such a lovely friendly welcome from the staff, and that continued throughout the holiday with all staff being so cheerful. All of the hotel is well maintained, always so clean and tidy. Our room was as usual perfect and the ladies that clean the rooms are always checking in to stock us up if we need anything . Enjoyed meals at all the restaurants and the entertainment was great. Highly recommend the Esmeralda

Had a 10 day stay late in April. We were warmly welcomed, check-in was excellent and very informative, we were given a welcome glass of bubbly and taken to our room. We had booked a privilege junior suit and wow it was amazing with the biggest balcony and fantastic sea views. The beds were huge and very comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Bathroom had a great walk-in shower. The housekeeping came every day and kept the room spotless, my husband enjoyed communicating with Jessica via google translate. We were also visited every evening and offered clean towels and given chocolates and extra coffee when we needed it. The main buffet restaurant did get busy at peak times however the staff cleared and re-laid tables very efficiently, drink orders were taken and delivered to your table very quickly. The choice of food was varied and replenished continually, if something had run out it was replenished within a very short time, which meant the food was a good temperature. We ate breakfast in the Privilege dinning room and the choice was fantastic. Fresh coffee (tea) and orange juice brought to the table, orders taken for hot food taken and this was prepared to order, I liked asking for just bacon and would get a fresh bread roll to make a bacon bapyummy. The breads, pastries, cold meats, fresh fruit etc were brilliant. We also ate here on several evenings and the food was just fantastic. We also ate a couple of evenings in the new pizzeria Stromboli and again its fantastic. The only negative we can say about either the El Jable and Stromboli is for us the portion sizes were huge!! We had lunch a few of times at the Maxorata snack bar, once was for the BBQ which was lovely and loads to choose from, they made lovely cocktails/mocktails. We went to Mikes coffee a couple of times (the milkshake was not to our liking) but the coffee latte macchiato Baileys was so good. We liked the privilege lounge, it was nice to go in there for a drink before dinner. The entertainment in the Blue bar was very chilled and relaxed but we spent evenings at the Maxorata bar as preferred the entertainment down there. Please be aware that not all of the staff speak English however they will go above and beyond to try and communicate with you, even asking other staff to help with finding out what we wanted. Personally we never encountered anything other than polite, happy, helpful staff who really did everything to make our stay as positive as possible. When we come back to Fuerteventura we will definitely be booking Playa Esmeralda again.

Great fun, we stayed for a short period of 7 days, but was great. Bar is great, food awsome, staff polite and rooms very tidy. Water was too cold to swim, but the temperature was ok to lay in the sun. Great cocktails! Would recommend for a short trip.

When we arrived at the hotel, we received a warm and informative reception, any queries or potential problems were dealt with efficiently. We had booked half board, however there are no shops other than the hotel ones closer than 15 minute walk. We asked if we could upgrade to all inclusive which was not a problem. It cost 35 per person, per night which we actually soon got our moneys worth for as well as the convenience of not having to go to the shop or outside restaurants. Water available 24/7. The hotel is in a quiet area of the island which is exactly what we were after to unwind and relax. We booked a sea view room and were on the 5th floor. It was clean, spacious, ok beds, good shower, the air con however, did not really help cool the room down and some days it was cooler to have the doors open. Reception informed, they could not get it any cooler or provide a fan. The temperature of the room is our only real negative about our stay. Pool area and sunbathing areas were kept mostly clean, the main pool is cool which is refreshing to be in, and a small paddling pool to cool your feet off in There is an indoor pool that is slightly warmer with spa jets that are free to use. Animation and fitness guys always interactive and funny, good game of water polo and water activities. Pool bar had a nice selection of food for lunch and good selection of drinks. Mikes coffee bar was good for coffee and cake, some of the nicer cakes you have to pay extra for unless privilege guests but this was not a problem. Restaurants always had something we wanted to eat without the feeling of needing to go elsewhere, we ate once in the Italian restaurant, which was lovely. All the staff were amazing and friendly, interacting in so many languages for all the guests, also nice that we were able to improve on our own Spanish vocabulary. All guests were treated fairly and equally regardless of nationality or board level you were staying as. Overall a lovely hotel with great staff!

Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting, close to beach which is a 100m walk to a nice sandy beach... Staff are very attentive and our room was excellent. Paid for an upgrade for room which is well worth it. Lovely large balcony overlooking pool and sea. Food generally good sometimes not quite hot enough and every morning the bacon was undercooked sadly. But a good offering on the whole.
